Foxcroft has five dormitories that each house between 20-45 girls. Dorm Teams are comprised of dedicated faculty members and several student leaders managing residential life and daily happenings. 

Through regular dorm meetings and leadership development, the residential program integrates our Wellness curriculum by teaching and reinforcing practical life skills, such as self-care, time management, sleep hygiene, communication, and conflict resolution.

Sleep and wellness have always been imperatives at Foxcroft, and our sleeping porches are a distinctive part of our school culture and are instrumental in our mission to nurture healthy minds and healthy bodies. 

In this busy, hyper-connected world, students need permission to unplug and let their brains rest in order to thrive — that's why the sleeping porches are technology-free zones. No blue light interfering with sleep patterns or social media notifications disrupting a restful night's sleep!

Each student has their own bed on the bunk-style sleeping porches, separating study and social space (her dorm room) from sleeping space. Porch rules maintain a consistent structure where each girl has the same schedule that values and promotes sleep, ensuring sweet dreams for everyone.

Each weekend, a variety of on-campus and off-campus activities are offered, planned by the Activities Committee with student representation from each grade. There so many options for the adventurous, cultural, and seasonal FUN we like to enjoy!

Each day students is assigned to a dorm room with roommates and has a designated bed on the sleeping porch for when they stay overnight. Day students can use their rooms for quiet study space during the day, and can keep clothes and personal items in their dedicated dresser and closet as well.

Foxcroft’s day student approach allows students to stay overnight two nights per week. This can be incredibly convenient for day students and their families when navigating the schedule of closed weekends, community events, late nights after away games or after-school commitments, and snow or inclement weather.

Each year, students from more than a dozen countries across the globe enroll at Foxcroft. By sharing their perspectives and cultures, they can expand their worldview, practice empathy and understanding, and develop bonds of sisterhood that they cherish their whole lives.

When they graduate, girls join a network of more than 3,000 alumnae around the world. Many of those connections remain long past graduation, with international travels bringing alumnae together again to celebrate their lasting friendship and memories of time at Foxcroft.

Our Mission, Values & Promises

International ambassadors are student leaders who are there for international students as they acclimate to life at Foxcroft. International students can expect to have regular communication with their ambassadors before they even arrive on campus and throughout the school year, as well as engage in fun events like pumpkin carving at Halloween (not something everyone may have experienced before coming to America!) or organizing events that recognize holidays from across the globe like Lunar New Year or Ramadan.

Our Director of International Student Services is a resource not just for students but also their families. They offer support through the enrollment process, facilitate an orientation just for international students at the start of the year, and communicate regularly with parents and consultants.

Foxcroft's rigorous academic program offerings are well suited for international students. Academically, our program is appropriate for students from an advanced level of English proficiency to those who are bilingual. Special English and history classes help those who need to improve their academic language skills. When the time comes, our international students all do well in college acceptances and find that they are well prepared for college.

Advisory is an important part of life at Foxcroft. Each student is assigned an advisor who acts as a mentor and advocate, and advisory groups are small, welcoming spaces that support the students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
